June Home Updates
June Home & Business Updates
June is just the start of summer projects at my 1930’s multifamily home in Jenkintown, PA. Between home updates, local adventures, and fresh design inspiration, it was a month full of small but intentional steps forward.
Exterior Updates
One of the biggest tasks this month was picking out roof colors. The roof is a defining feature, so I wanted something timeless that complements the architecture while still feeling modern. I also had to apply to the borough for a roofing permit, which such an important step in protecting this property long term. For more security we installed another Ring camera outside. It’s one of those small but intentional upgrades that adds peace of mind and keeps the property feeling secure and well cared for.
Local Inspiration
One of my favorite discoveries this month was Mid Mod Decor, a hidden gem right down the street from Jenkintown. I met the owner and her son, and their collection of mid-century modern finds instantly spoke to me. Supporting local small businesses that align with my vision for intentional design-forward spaces makes living here even more meaningful.
Design Adventures
June was packed with design inspiration beyond my own home.
My mom and I spent a full day on the Bucks Beautiful Kitchen & Garden Tour, exploring 6 incredible homes across Richboro, Newtown, New Hope, and Doylestown. From lush gardens to unique kitchen layouts, I came away with so many fresh ideas for both personal projects and real estate design-forward work.
We also went antique shopping in Hatboro, which is always one of my favorite ways to spend the day. I love finding pieces with history that layer effortlessly into modern interiors for that timeless, curated feel.
Wrapping Up
June was full of progress and inspiration. From roof planning and borough permits to neighborhood discoveries, antique shopping, and touring some of the best homes in Bucks County. Every step keeps me rooted in intentional, design-forward living while staying connected to my community here in and around the Philadelphia suburbs.
